My training never stops. I have been mixing it up recently. Working out at home everyday has its benefits but it isn't nearly as fun as going out for a trail run or going to the rock climbing gym instead.
I have been going on big hikes lately and have been preferring trail running over running on streets. I have added some neat new runs to my regimen that take me up steep hills and give me vista views. Connecting with the earth has been empowering.
I have had some struggles over the last couple of weeks, including a foot injury that has been slowly healing as well as being sick for over a week. Although these events have mixed up my fitness routine I haven't lost ground on my level of fitness, which for me must always be increasing.
I have my half marathon coming up on January 27th, I am hoping my foot will be completely healed by the time it comes up. I have less than three months until I start my walk. Everyday I'm pushing it in order to be ready.
