I have recently been making a slow transition to minimal footwear, which I believe has truly improved my running form. I wear New Balance, Minimus shoes which have been wonderful. Starting off with these shoes is tough because if you do not use proper form while running it causes pain. However, over time I have found my form has improved and the repercussions are far less noticeable.
I am still doing P90-X on the days that I do not go running. Even though I no longer do the program everyday, I have structured my workout plan to incorporate all of my muscle groups in order to continue building my body.
Sometimes I cant believe how much I have changed over the last few months. When I see my before and after pictures I find that I am constantly rediscovering who I am. I love who I am becoming and how much the dream of the walk is changing me. When the idea of this walk first came to me I never quite knew if I would ever be ready for the challenge. So many nights I would go to bed thinking I was crazy for even mentioning the idea to people, "How am I ever going to come through on this?". However, as the days go on and as my planning develops and my knowledge grows deeper I find new a new confidence in myself. I cant thank the people who have been supporting me with their words encouragement, you truly add to my drive.
